두바이 미래박물관(Museum of the Future) 개관

[아츠앤컬쳐] 두바이에 미래박물관이 개관했다. 아름다운 미래형 건물은 건축가 숀 킬라가 디자인한 것으로 가운데에 커다란 구멍이 뚫린 타원형 구조로 7층 높이에 외부는 1024개의 스테인리스 스틸 패널을 이은 것이다. 건물에 가득 쓰인 아랍어는 UAE  총리가 지은 미래에 대한 시라고 한다. 이 박물관은 미래에 대한 것인만큼 미래에 대한 비전과 AI나 로봇 등 혁신적인 아이디어 제품을 상시 서비스할 예정이며 전력은 태양광 발전소로부터 제공받는다.

특히, 미래 박물관에서는 2050년 기후 변화를 새로운 방식으로 생각할 수 있다. 일반 박물관과 차별된 박물관에서 세계 최고의 혁신, 프로토타입 아이디어와 발명품을 만나보자. 독특한 콘셉트의 박물관에서 양방향 전시를 통해 미래 기술을 실감나게 체험할 수 있다.

기존의 최신 기술과 미래 혁신을 탐구할 수 있도록 과학적 해결책을 찾는 전문가 코스, 워크숍과 토론회도 개최한다. 신선한 물 공급, 식품 안전, 도시 건축 및 재건축 등 기후 변화의 세 가지 주요 과제도 알아볼 수 있다. 랜드마크 개발 역시 인간 생활과 글로벌 경제를 더욱 발전시키는 목표를 지니고 있다."
