The Turkmen people, who trace their origins back to the Oguz Khan, founded the Parthian, Margush, Great Seljuk empires, and the Konya kingdom over the course of centuries, and are a nation that has created the best spiritual and material values for humanity. One of those material values ​​is the Turkmen's airplane wing, the decoration of weddings and the main companion on auspicious days. Today, our horses, which are the national pride of the Turkmen people, have left an indelible mark on beauty, endurance, endurance, and loyalty.

When we look at the world culture and the history of Turkmen visual art, we can see that the unique projects depicting names in the images on the rocks, walls of buildings and vessels of ancient times, as well as in small figurines, miniatures of the Middle Ages, carpets and rugs, have a special respect for this creature. reveals. For many centuries, our ancestors have cultivated a unique breed of Turkmen horses, which are truly artistic, have no equal in beauty, and are sensitive like humans.

Turkmen artists depict the beauty, intelligence, kindness and wonderful harmonious power of horses, which are a part of the spiritual culture of mankind, in their numerous works of art. S. Beglyarov, I. Poyda, I. Cherinko, M. Mammedov, S. Babikov were the artists who laid the foundations of our horse in the painting of the first half of the 20th century. Their artistic heritage is vast and varied. In these works, they try to honestly express the beauty and behavior of the Akhalteke horses, which are the joy and spiritual wing of the Turkmen. In the works of the painters, we can observe the unique movement, high neck, mysterious and beautiful color shine characteristic only of Akhalteke horses, as well as the skill of portraying the unique, prominent breed and wise characters of the horses.

Master painters of the independence era skillfully depict the inimitable natural beauty of horses. These creatures are encountered in the works of famous artists and create the basis for fully revealing the content of the works. In these works, horses are often placed in the center of the project, circling the power, strength and power of mankind, and act as the main characters. The uniqueness of the horses' naturally perfect body structures and unique color shades is clearly reflected in the works of art. On December 6, 2023, ‘Akhalteke Equestrian Art and Horse Decoration Traditions of Turkmen’ will be included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). inspired new creative achievements.

New colors appeared in all areas of Turkmen fine art, and the images of horses were given a special place. Turkmen artists, who create proud images of horses, pay respect to these wonderful and naturally strong creatures, instilling great love and true heart feelings. Because the Akhalteke horse, born in Turkmen land, is a symbol of strength, health and beauty created by human labor and talent in nature.
