[아츠앤컬쳐] 한국의 소리 – 5월 31일 수요일 자그레브의 리신스키 콘서트홀에서 열린 한국-크로아티아 친선 콘서트는 놀라운 음악 공연을 즐길 수 있는 또 다른 아주 특별한 기회였다.
이 공연에서는 세계적으로 인정받는 한국의 해금 연주자인 노은아 씨가 연주하였다. 노은아 씨는 서울대 교수로 재직 중이며 뮤지컬예술학 박사로 8장의 솔로 앨범을 발표한 바 있다. 그녀는 해금연구회의 부회장이며, 세계적으로 유명한 많은 오케스트라들과 해금을 연주해 온 오랜 경력을 가지고 있다.
자그레브에서 노은아 박사는 서울 해금 앙상블, 그리고 유럽에서 가장 뛰어난 실내악단 중 하나인 자그레브 솔로이스트들과 함께 공연했는데, 그들의 아리랑 공연에 정말 깊은 인상을 받았다. 서울 해금 앙상블은 크로아티아의 유명한 전통 민속 음악 앙상블인 라도(LADO) 오케스트라와 함께 연주하기도 했다. 한국과 크로아티아 음악가들이 양국 전통음악의 아름다움을 어떻게 공동으로 선보였는지 볼 수 있는 최고의 기회였다. 한국의 해금과 크로아티아의 탐브리짜가 함께 어우러져 독특한 하모니와 음악의 아름다움을 선보였다.
이 콘서트는 자그레브시와 주크로아티아 대한민국 대사관에 의해 주최된 것이다. 시민들로 가득 찬 크로아티아 리신스키 음악홀에서는 훌륭한 연주들을 즐길 수 있었다. 이지수 작곡의 “사도, 생각하고 슬퍼하고”, 노은아 해금의 “지영희류 해금산조, 그리고 서울 해금 앙상블과 함께한 김민조 한국 타악기의 “천안 삼거리”는 노은아-해금, 알란 칸스키(Alan Kanski)-듈시머(Dulcimer), 믈라덴 코소바츠(Mladen Kosovac)-클라리넷, 파르바즈 사리모브(Parvaz Salimov)-피아노의 사중주로 연주되었다. 라도 오케스트라와 서울 해금 앙상블은 크로아티아 전통 노래인 “젤린스키 뮤지카쉬(Zelinski mužikaši)”를 함께 연주했다.
콘서트에는 주크로아티아 대한민국 홍성욱 대사, 주한 크로아티아 다미르 쿠센 대사와 더불어 크로아티아 외교부 프라노 마추시치 정무차관, 크로아티아 의회 대표부들과 자그레브시 대표부들이 참석하였다.
더불어, 노은아 박사는 6월 1일 자그레브 음악원에서 한국 전통 음악 워크숍을 개최하여 아카데미의 학생들과 교수들뿐만 아니라 현지 대중들에게도 해금을 소개하기도 했다.
작년 7월, 노은아 박사는 크로아티아 남부의 유네스코에 등재된 고대 도시인 두브로브니크에서 공연을 한 적이 있었다. 유러피안 한국 솔로이스트 앙상블과 함께 노은아 박사는 이 독특한 한국 전통 악기로 연주되는 한국 전통 음악의 아름다움을 보여주었다. 이 공연은 아츠앤컬쳐 매거진에 의해 기획된 것이었다.
When haegeum meets tamburitza
Sound of Korea – Korea-Croatia Friendship Concert held in Zagreb, on Wednesday 31 May in Lisinski Concert Hall was another very special occasion to enjoy in the amazing music performance by Eunah Noh, the world recognized Korean haegeum performer.
Dr Noh is Doctor of Musical Arts from Seoul National University, were she works as professor, and she released eight solo albums. She is Vice President of the Society of Haegeum Practitioners. She has a long career performing haegeum with many world-wide prestigious orchestras. In Zagreb, Dr Eunah Noh performed together with the Seoul Haegeum Ensemble, and with the Zagreb Soloists, one of the European’s most outstanding chamber orchestras. Their performance of the Arirang song was indeed memorable. Seoul Haegeum Ensemble played together with the Croatian famous traditional folk-music ensemble LADO Orchestra. It was great to see how the Korean and Croatian musicians have jointly presented the beauty of traditional music of both countries. The Korean haegeum and Croatian tamburitza have joined together presenting unique harmony and beauty of music.
The concert was organized by the Korean Embassy in Croatia and the City of Zagreb. The public in the fully packed Croatian Lisinski Music hall enjoyed in the excellent performance of the “The Throne, Contemplating and Grieving…”, composed by Ji-su Lee, “Haegeum Sanjo of Ji Yeonghui’s School”, performed by Eunah Noh at Haegeum, and Minjo Kim at Korean percussion, together with Seoul Haegeum Ensemble, “Cheonan Samgeori”, performed by a quartet: Eunhah Noh (haegeum), Alan Kanski (dulcimer), Mladen Kosovac (clarinet), and Parvaz Salimov (piano). LADO Orchestra, and Seoul Haegeum Ensemble performed together the Croatian traditional song “Zelinski mužikaši”.
The concert was attended by Korean Ambassador to Croatia H.E. Hong Sungwook and Croatian Ambassador to Korea H.E. Damir Kušen, but also by the State Secretary at the Croatian Foreign Ministry Mr Frano Matušić, and representatives of the Croatian Parliament and the City of Zagreb.
In addition, Dr Eunah Noh has organized the Korean Traditional Music Workshop in Zagreb, at the Zagreb Academy of Music on 1 June, introducing haegeum to the students and professors of the Academy, but also to the local public.
In July last year, Dr Eunah Noh has performed in Dubrovnik, the UNESCO listed ancient city in Southern Croatia. Together with the European Korean Soloist Ensemble, she presented the beauty of the traditional Korean music played on these unique Korean traditional instruments. It was organized by the Arts & Culture Magazine.
