오스트리아와 한국의 관계에서 특히 문화 분야와 음악 분야는 매우 긴밀하다. 이는 국내 오스트리아 오르간의 보급에도 반영되어, 두 나라 간의 문화적 연결과 교류를 강조하고 있다. 국내에는 오스트리아 오르간을 소장하고 있는 여러 기관과 교회가 있다. 롯데콘서트홀은 뛰어난 음향으로 유명한 현대식 콘서트홀이며, 이곳의 오르간은 5,000개의 파이프가 68가지(68음)의 소리를 낼 수 있다. 또 다른 예로 서울 엘타워 콘서트홀에서도 오스트리아 오르간 연주를 감상할 수 있고, 연세대학교에도 학생들의 연습용 오르간이 있다.

이 오르간들은 오스트리아 오르간 제작의 높은 품질을 보여줄 뿐만 아니라 오스트리아와 한국 간의 문화적 연결과 교류에 대한 증거이기도 하다. 국내에 오스트리아 오르간이 존재한다는 것은 이 정교한 악기의 장인 정신과 사운드에 대한 한국 음악계의 인정을 보여준다. 국내에서는 독일 정부가 공식적으로 인정한 오르간 제작자 홍성훈이 현재 전주기전대학 음악당에 설치될 20번째 오르간 작품을 제작 중에 있다.

Organ History in Austria

They are one of the largest organ building companies in the world and are located in Schwarzach, Vorarlberg, closed to Switzerland. Rieger “Orgelbau” is not only known for building new organs, but also for restoring historical instruments.

There are several churches and institutions that house Austrian organs. For example, the “Yonsei University” in Seoul has practice organs that are used for the training of students.
