[아츠앤컬쳐] 비비눔 2024는 오스트리아 와인 산업에 있어 중요한 행사로 오스트리아 와인의 장점과 다양함을 보여주었다. 2024년 5월 25일부터 27일까지 비엔나 Hofburg에서 개최된 이번 축제는 오스트리아 내 약 550명의 와인메이커와 엄선된 해외 참가자들이 모여 최고의 와인을 선보였다. 이 행사는 시음회와 강연을 열고, 와인 전문가와 애호가들을 위한 높은 수준의 만남의 장이 되었다. 비비눔은 전 세계 와인메이커와 와인 전문가들이 모여 지식과 경험을 교류하는 업계 고위급 회의로 알려져 있으며, 특히 동서양의 와인 산업 간 교류에 중점을 두고 있다. 풍부한 전문가 강의와 시음 논평을 통해 참석자들에게 심층적인 지식을 제공해 주었다.

여기에는 주요 박람회 외에도 몇 가지 흥미로운 이벤트가 있다. 이러한 이벤트는 와인 지식을 심화시키고 오스트리아 와인제조자들과 교류할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 주목할만한 부가 이벤트를 소개한다.

‘Wienliebe’ 비엔나의 사랑은 시내 중심에 있는 인상적인 비엔나 시청 앞에서 개최되었다. 여기에서는 비엔나를 사랑스럽게 만드는 문화, 요리, 예술과 공예가 소개되었고, 비엔나 와인상 시상식이 포함되어 있어 우승한 와인과 기타 고품질 셀렉션을 맛볼 수 있었다.

‘VieVinum 킥오프’는 VieVinum 뒤에 있는 Austrian Wine Marketing에 의해 조직되었다. 일부 지역의 몇몇 와인 메이커는 플라잉 뷔페와 함께 최고의 병을 열었다. Superfly Sound는 비엔나 중심부의 도시 정원 옆에 위치한 응용미술박물관(MAK)에도 설치되었는데, 이 건물은 링스트라세에 있는 이탈리아 초기 르네상스 양식의 인상적인 건물이다. 1871년에 비엔나 옛 성벽의 자리에 순환도로 링스트라세를 놓은 MAK의 건축가는 유명한 하인리히 폰 페르스텔로, 오늘날 ‘Palais Ferstel’이라 불리며 모퉁이에 카페 페르스텔이 있는 건물을 설계했다.

‘Demeter & Flora - Demeter-Wein & -Dinner’는 바이오다이내믹 100주년을 기념하는 이벤트이며, 데메테르 30개 와이너리의 와인을 시음할 수 있는 개방형 시음 구역을 마련했다.

‘Vinea Wachau’는 오스트리아에서 가장 아름다운 와인 지역으로, Wachau로 향하는 비엔나 가까이 다뉴브강 보트에 있고 수영도 할 수 있다.

또한 ‘Das LOFT Restaurant, Bar & Lounge’에서 Wine on Top 이벤트가 있었다. 멋진 와인 정원이 있고 비엔나를 전망할 수 있는 Kahlenberg 꼭대기에 오스트리아, 독일, 스페인, 슬로바키아의 최고 와이너리가 함께하여 비엔나 Cobenzl, Wininger, Zahel, Mayer am Pfarrplatz 및 Fuhrgassl Huber의 최고 5대 와이너리의 초청 행사가 있었다.

VieVinum은 오스트리아 고유의 포도 품종을 맛볼 수 있는 가장 좋은 방법이다. 화이트와인에 Gruener Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Rotgipfler 및 Riesling(독일 Riesling과 다르게 드라이하고 과일 향이 난다), 레드와인에 Zweigelt, Blaufaenkisch, St. Laurent 등이 제공되었다.

VIEVINUM The Vienna Wine Fair 2024

VieVinum 2024 was a significant event for the Austrian wine industry, showcasing the strength and diversity of Austrian wines. It took place at the Hofburg in Vienna from May 25 to 27, 2024. It was bringing together around 550 winemakers from Austria and selected international participants, who presented their finest wines. The event features tastings, lectures, and serves as a high-level meeting point for wine experts and enthusiasts from around the world.

The festival is known for being a high-ranking industry meeting where winemakers and wine experts from around the world gather to exchange knowledge and experiences, particularly focusing on the exchange between East and West. It featured a wealth of expert lectures and commented tastings, providing in-depth knowledge to attendees.

Beside the main events there are several exciting side events that complement the main fair. These events provide opportunities to deepen your wine knowledge and connect with Austrian winemakers.

Here are some notable side events:

‘Wienliebe - The love of Vienna’ was held in Front of the impressive Vienna City hall in the center of town.

‘Wienliebe’ introduces culture, cuisine, and arts and crafts that make Vienna so lovable. It includes the Vienna Wine Prize award ceremony, where you could taste winning wines and other high-quality selections.

‘VieVinum Kick Off’ was organized by Austrian Wine Marketing the great organisation behind the VieVinum. Several winemakers from selected regions opened their best bottles, accompanied by a flying buffet. Superfly Sound was set as well in the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) a location next to the City Garden in the center of Vienna, an impressive building in the style of Italian Early Renaissance on the “Ringstrasse” – The Vienna Ring road build on the ground of the former city wall of Vienna, finished in 1871. The architect of the MAK was the famous Heinrich von Ferstel, which designed the now called “Palais Ferstel” with the “Café Ferstel” at the corner as well.

‘Demeter & Flora - Demeter-Wein & -Dinner’ is celebrating 100 years of biodynamics, this event features opened tasting zones with wines from 30 Demeter wineries.

‘Vinea Wachau goes for a swim’ The location was on a riverboat at the Danube going towards Wachau the most beautiful wine location in Austria, closed to Vienna.

Additionally, there’s the Wine on Top event at ‘Das LOFT Restaurant, Bar & Lounge’, featuring top wineries from Austria, Germany, Spain, and Slovakia. And there was the invitation of the five top wineries in Vienna Cobenzl, Wininger, Zahel, Mayer am Pfarrplatz and Fuhrgassl Huber. The location was on the top of Kahlenberg within wonderful wine garden and wonderful scenery with an overview of Vienna.

VieVinum is the best way of tasting the Austrian own grape variety like for White Wine: Gruener Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Rotgipfler and Riesling (different then the German Riesling, dry and fruity),

Red Wine: Zweigelt, Blaufaenkisch, St. Laurent etc.
