메자파크 야외무대

메자파크 야외무대는 리가 시의 녹색공원지역인 메자파크에 위치한 건물이다. 야외무대는 문화 및 역사적인 의미가 크며 시간이 지남에 따라 150년이 넘는 라트비아 가요제 전통을 위한 영구적인 장소가 되었다. 이 인상적인 건물은 1955년에 지어졌지만 가장 최근의 재건축은 2021년 6월에 완료되었으며, 이번 재건축으로 올해의 라트비아 건축상을 받았다. 현재 이 복합단지에는 야외무대, 콘서트홀, 전시장, 컨퍼런스 및 세미나실이 포함되어 있어 각종 대형 콘서트, 액티비티 및 행사에 적합하다. 리가 시의 모든 주민과 손님, 방문객은 라트비아 노래와 춤 축제의 주요 장소인 메자파크 야외무대, 콘서트홀과 전시회가 열리는 이 중요한 문화 유적지를 방문할 수 있다.

라트비아 민속 야외박물관

이곳은 유럽에서 가장 오래되고 규모가 큰 야외 박물관 중 하나로, 17세기 말부터 1930년대 말까지 라트비아 시골 농부들의 삶을 보여준다. 라트비아 민속 야외박물관의 목표는 방문객들이 문화 유산, 일, 일상적인 전통 및 미적 세계에 대해 알고 즐기도록 하는 것이다. 박물관은 피에리가에 위치하고 있으며 단지 주변을 직접 산책하거나 가이드와 동행하는 단체여행으로 라트비아 각 지역의 역사를 알아가거나 야외박물관의 전시물을 견학할 수 있다.

기차역 ‘알룩스네스 바니티스’

굴베네 알룩스네 기차는 현재 발트해 지역에서 정기 여객 운송을 제공하는 유일한 협궤 철도다. 33km 길이의 기차 구간은 1시간 25분이 소요되는데, 이 기차 탑승은 진정한 모험이 될 것이다! 알룩스네 역의 수하물 창고에 설립된 바니티스 박물관에서는 철도의 역사, 바니티스 철도의 다양한 정거장 및 그 뒤에 숨겨진 이야기를 들을 수 있다. 박물관의 전시회는 대화식이며 현대적으로 진행되어 모든 연령층에 적합하다. 기차여행과 박물관 견학 후 협궤선이 내려다보이는 로맨틱한 카페 '트바익스 x 오글레'(증기 x 석탄)에서 잠시 쉴 수도 있다.

유르말라에 있는 아스파지야의 집

Mežaparks Open-Air Stage

Mežaparks Open-Air Stage is a cultural and historical building in the green park area of Riga city - Mežaparks. The Open-Air Stage has a great cultural and historical significance, and over time it has become a permanent venue for the more than 150-year-old Latvian Song Festival tradition. This impressive building was built in 1955, but the most recent reconstruction was completed in June 2021, and the Latvian Architecture of the Year Award was received for this reconstruction.

At present, the complex includes an open-air stage, a concert hall, an exhibition hall, conference and seminar rooms, which are suitable for all kinds of large-scale concerts, activities and events. Every resident, guest or visitor of the city of Riga has the opportunity to see this important cultural site, the main venue of the General Latvian Song and Dance Festival - the Mežaparks Open-Air Stage, its concert hall and visit the exhibitions in the exhibition hall.

The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia

This is one of the oldest and largest open-air museums in Europe, and it tells about the life of farmers in the Latvian countryside from the end of the 17th century to the end of the 1930s. The aim of the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia is to allow visitors to get to know and enjoy the cultural heritage, work, everyday traditions, and aesthetic world.

The museum is located in Pierīga and it is possible to walk around the complex yourself or go on organized excursions, getting to know the history of the separate regions of Latvia or getting acquainted with most of the exhibits of the Open-Air Museum accompanied by a guide.

Train station “Alūknses Bānītis”

The Gulbene-Alūksne train is currently the only narrow-gauge railway in the Baltics that provides regular passenger services. The 33-kilometer-long section of the train takes 1 hour and 25 minutes, and the ride with it is a real adventure!

In the luggage barn at Alūksne station, the Bānītis Museum has been established, which allows you to get to know the history of the railway, the various stops on the Bānītis railway, and the stories behind them. The museum's exposition is interactive, modern and suitable for both children and adults. If you want to catch your breath after the train ride and visit to the museum, then a romantic cafe “Tvaiks x Ogle” has been set up at the station overlooking the narrow-gauge railway.

House of Aspazija in Jūrmala

House of the prominent Latvian poetress Aspazija in Dubulti is the most unusual and the most beautiful museum in Jūrmala. The special atmosphere of the House of Aspazija is created by music, art and history; the restored exhibition of the museum helps experience the spirit of the last century, via not only early 20th century household items and interiors, but also projected holograms and interactive educational games. Take a short walk along the narrow street Aspazijas iela that leads to the beach and take a picture with the sculpture “Aspazija in the dunes”.
