[아츠앤컬쳐] 자연교육센터는 18세기 초의 역사가 담긴 궁전 단지에 위치해 있다. 카르코노셰 국립공원은 2013년에 역사적인 건물들을 인수하여 현대적인 자연교육센터와 새로운 공원 본부로 변화시키고자 많은 노력을 기울여왔다. 이 센터는 2023년 4월에 처음으로 대중들에게 공개하였다.

두 개의 멀티미디어 전시관, 150인용 회의실, 워크숍 룸, 그리고 궁전을 둘러싼 ‘교훈의 길’ 등 이곳의 시설들은 자연 교육과 지역 교육 활동을 위해 사용 중이다. 이러한 교육 활동은 아이들과 젊은 사람들, 그리고 성인을 대상으로도 이루어진다. 센터는 관광객들의 필요를 위해 존재할 뿐만 아니라 지역 주민들을 위해서도 다양한 수업과 워크숍, 미팅 그리고 정기적인 이벤트를 기획하고 있다.

그 중에 센터 내의 명소는 두 개의 멀티미디어 교육전시관이다. 이 전시관은 방문객이 독립적으로 각 부스를 탐색할 수 있도록 설계되어 있다. 개별 부스들은 방문객이 자연에서 기능하는 환경적 요소들의 원리를 발견하고 이와 관련된 지식과 경험을 얻을 수 있도록 도와주는 일종의 과학센터인 것이다. 자연에서 영감을 얻어 꾸민 아름다운 전시관의 내부는 다양한 소리와 질감, 그리고 여러 향기와 얽혀 우리의 감각과 감정에도 영향을 미친다.

또 다른 전시관인 ‘소비에슈프 궁전’은 수 세기에 걸친 카르코노셰 지역의 자연보호 역사와 제2차 세계 대전 이전에 궁전의 소유주였던 샤프고치 가문에 대한 정보를 제공한다. 특히 카르코노셰 지역 발전을 위해 힘썼던 샤프고치 가문의 문화적 공헌에 대해 풍부히 설명하고 있다. 이러한 역사적 배경에도 불구하고 전시회는 현대적인 방식으로 방문객들과 상호 작용하며 흥미로운 인상을 안겨준다.

전시회는 폴란드어, 체코어, 독일어, 영어 총 4개국어로 제공된다. 센터를 방문한다면 카르코노셰 국립공원 지역의 자연과 역사에 관해 자세한 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 여러 이유로 산에 갈 수 없거나 등산을 좋아하지 않는 사람들에게도 카르코노셰 국립공원 방문은 좋은 선택지일 것이다.

The Nature and Education Center in the Karkonosze National Park

- a new attraction on the map of southwestern Poland

The Nature and Education Center is located in a historic palace complex dating back to the early 18th century. In 2013, the entire complex was taken over by the Karkonosze National Park, which has since made efforts to adapt the historic buildings into a modern nature education center and a new headquarters for the Park. The center opened to the public at the end of April 2023. Two multimedia exhibitions, a conference room for 150 people, workshop rooms, and a didactic path around the Palace - all these facilities are used to carry out nature and regional educational activities. The offer is aimed at children, young people and adults. The Center wants to respond to the needs of tourists, but also the region's residents, offering a wide range of classes, workshops, meetings and regular events.

The biggest attractions of the Center are two multimedia educational expositions. The exhibition was designed to be explored independently and is a kind of science center, where at individual stations one has to discover the principle of functioning of environmental elements and try to gain knowledge and experience related to them. The visual beauty of the arrangements inspired by nature is intertwined with a whole spectrum of sounds, textures and smells, affecting our senses and emotions.

"Sobieszów Palace” is the other exhibition and this one tells the story of the history of nature conservation in Karkonosze over the centuries and gives the information about the Schaffgotsch family who were the owners of the Palace before the Second World War. One can learn a lot about the family's cultural contribution to the development of the Karkonosze region. Despite its historical background, the exhibition also gives the impression of being modern, intriguing and interactive.

Both exhibitions are available in 4 languages - Polish, Czech, German and English. A visit to the Center is an excellent introduction to the area of Karkonosze National Park. It is also an option for those interested in the nature and history of the Karkonosze, who cannot or do not feel like going to the mountains for various reasons.
