[아츠앤컬쳐] 파르마는 이탈리아 북부 에밀리아-로마냐 지역에 있는 매력적이며 역사적이고 번영된 도시다. 이탈리아에서 가장 아름다운 예술, 문화 관광, 미식 여행 도시 중 하나로, 기념물, 성, 예술, 요리, 오페라로 유명하며, 세계에서 가장 오래된 대학 중 하나인 파르마대학교가 있다.

파르마는 에트루리아인들이 설립하고 명명한 도시로 기원전 183년에 로마의 식민지가 들어서고, 무티나(오늘날 모데나)와 함께 2,000 가구가 정착했다. 파르마는 고대로마 중심지로서의 중요성을 가지고 있었다. 파르마는 고대 에밀리아길을 따라 밀라노와 볼로냐 사이에 위치해 있으며, 로마시대부터 가깝고 먼 곳으로부터 온 상인과 여행자들이 교차하는 곳이었다. 단순한 길을 넘어 바사 파다나의 작물과 아펜니노산맥의 계곡 사이에서 펼쳐지는 지리적, 정신적 여정을 통해 아이디어와 다양한 감성이 어우러져 환대로 이루어진 문명의 바탕을 이루었다.

2,200년 역사를 지닌 파르마는 언제나 에밀리아 지역의 주인공이었고 부러워할 만한 음악, 음식과 와인의 굳건한 전통, 건축학적인 풍요로움 등으로 풍부하고 다양한 문화를 자랑하는 도시다.

파르마는 클래식 음악, 특히 오페라로 유명한데, 바로 이곳이 토스카니니와 베르디의 출신지다. 주세페 베르디는 1813년 10월 10일 저녁에 파르마 근교의 작은 마을인 론콜레 베르디에서 태어났고, 현재 마을 중앙 교차로의 수수한 건물에 새로운 멀티미디어 박물관이 있다.

프랑코 마리아 리치의 미로 또한 매우 유명한데, 파르마 인근 시골 그의 사유지에 8ha가 넘는 땅을 차지하며, 다양한 대나무 종이 재배되고 있다. 미로 단지 내 5000㎡ 여의 문화 기반 위에는 프랑코 마리아 리치의 미술품 컬렉션(16세기~20세기까지 500여 점)이 전시되어 있다. 파르마 주변으로 많은 성들이 있다. 파르마 계곡이 내려다보이는 높은 곳에 자리한 토레끼아라는 1448년에서 1460년 사이에 건설되었으며 이 지역에서 가장 잘 보존된 요새 중 하나다.

이탈리아에서 가장 유명한 리조트 스파 중 하나인 살소마조레 스파도 파르마 근교에 있다. 살소마조레의 미네랄워터는 나트륨을 함유하여 브로모-요오드-소금 품종인 염수 그룹에 속하며 지하수 우물에서 추출한 고장성(高張性) 냉수다.

살소마조레 온천의 온천수는 해양에서 유래한 특유의 부식된 색깔의 차가운 고장성 화석수다. 그것은 가장 풍부한 천연 미네랄 염수 중 하나이며 치료 효과가 뛰어나고 유기체의 균형 조정에 기여하는 요오드와 브롬이 가장 많이 함유되어 있다.

파르마는 이른바 음식의 수도라고도 불린다. 파르마의 유명한 프로슈토 크루도는 보통 얇게 썰어 익히지 않은 이탈리아 건식 햄으로 천 년의 전통이 있다. 로마 연회의 주재료로서, 정제되고 섬세한 맛으로 사랑받으며, 좋은 레드와인과 함께 먹기 좋은 훌륭한 음식이다.

또한 파르미지아노 레지아노라고 불리는 파르미산 치즈도 기억해야 한다. 파르미지아노 레지아노는 우유로 만들어 적어도 12개월~36개월간 숙성시킨 과립형 치즈다. 이외에도 파르마는 아놀리니, 토르텔리, 파르미지아나 가지 등의 음식으로 온 유럽에서 유명하다.

PARMA a unique city

Today we are talking about Parma a unique city in north-Italy. Parma is a prosperous and attractive historic town in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. It is one of Italy’s most beautiful cities of art, cultural tourism and gastronomic destination, known for its monuments, castles, art, cuisine and opera. The city is home to the University of Parma, one of the oldest universities in the world.

The city was most probably founded and named by the Etruscans, a Roman colony was founded in 183 BC, together with Mutina (today Modena)where 2,000 families were settled. Parma had a certain importance as a road roman hub. Parma is located along the ancient Via Emilia, between Milan and Bologna, crossed since the Roman times by merchants and travellers from near and faraway. Not a simple road but a geographic and mental itinerary which unravels among the crops of the Bassa Padana and the valleys of the Apennines, where ideas and different sensibilities got together to create the basics of a civilization made of hospitality.

With its 2200 years of history, Parma is a city that has always been a protagonist of the Emilia region, and boasts a rich and varied culture: an enviable musical tradition, a strong tradition of food and wine, an architectural richness.

Parma is famous for the classical music, special the Opera. Toscanini was born in Parma and Verdi also. For example Giuseppe Verdi was born in the evening of 10th October 1813 in Roncole Verdi, a small village in the country, very near to Parma. In the modest building, located at a crossroads in the centre of the village, we find a new multimedial museum.

The labyrinth of Franco Maria Ricci is also very famous. Franco Maria Ricci’s Labyrinth, covering over 8 hectares of land in his estate in the countryside near Parma, was grown out with a variety of bamboo species. The complex of the labyrinth includes a cultural foundation occupying more than 5000 square meters, where Farnco Maria Ricci’s art collection will exhibit (more than 500 pieces of art, dating from the XVIth to the XXth century). Many castles are around Parma. Set on a high perch overlooking the Parma valley, Torrechiara is one of the best preserved fortifications in whole the region. It was built between 1448 nad 1460.

Near Parma there are the Spas of Salsomaggiore, one of Italy's most prestigious resort spas. Due to its sodium content, the mineral water of Salsomaggiore belongs to the group of salty waters, a bromo-iodinesalt variety. A hypertonic and cold water extracted from artesian wells.

The thermal water of Salsomaggiore Terme is a fossil water, of marine origin, cold hypertonic with a characteristic rust color. It is among the richest water of minerals salts in nature and with the highest percentage of iodine and bromine: it has great therapeutic effects and contributes to the rebalancing of the organism.

Parma is also called the “capital” of food: the famous Prosciutto crudo of Parma is an Italian dry-cured ham that is usually thinly sliced and served uncooked, this Prosciutto has a millenary tradition: it was the main element of the Roman banquets, loved above all for its refined and delicate taste, which made it an excellent dish to accompany with good red wine.

We should remember also the parmesan cheese, called Parmigiano Reggiano, a granular cheese produced from cow's milk and aged at least from12 to 36 months. Parma is famous in all Europe for foods such as Anolini, Tortelli, Eggplant Parmigiana of Parma and more…
