오스트리아의 여러 단체들이 박물관, 갤러리, 궁전 등 오스트리아 전역의 아름다운 곳을 찾아가는 가상현실(VR)을 만들었다. TV 모니터에 연결된 컴퓨터나 VR 장비의 3D 안경으로 주요 장소를 방문하여 멋진 경험을 할 수 있게 해놓았다. 이제 집에서도 궁전의 전시회와 아름다운 방의 근사한 그림을 감상할 수 있다. 360도 VR로 매우 인상적이고 화질 좋은 그림을 그 자리에 있는 것과 같이 움직이며 보는 것은 굉장한 느낌이 들 것이다!

오스트리아의 인상적인 건축물에 가장 큰 성 중 하나인 황제의 여름 별장 ‘쉔부른’성을 예로 들어보자. 수많은 방을 거닐면서 오스트리아에서 가장 오래된 유리 제조업체 바칼로비츠의 멋진 샹들리에를 구경하고 프랑스 루이 14세(1638~1715)의 400년 된 시계와 중국 벽지, 이탈리아 거울, 베네치아의 유명한 유리 제조업체의 또 다른 샹들리에를 감상할 수 있다.

또 다른 방들을 살펴보면 나무 바닥과 장식이 방마다 배치가 다르고 나무도 여러 종류의 참나무와 잣나무, 열대지방에서 온 나무들로 되어 있다. 어떤 방들은 실크나 타일로 덮여 있는데, 이탈리아, 중국으로부터 왔으며 또한 강렬한 파란색을 내는 네덜란드의 ‘델프트 블루’ 타일이다. 이 강렬한 파란색의 도자기와 타일, 생활용품은 지금도 매우 인기가 있다. 일례로 네덜란드 KLM 비즈니스 클래스를 타면 델프트 미니어처 하우스를 선물로 준다.

다른 멋진 곳으로 구스타프 클림트의 상설 전시회가 열리고 있는 갤러리 ‘벨베데레’도 언제든지 방문할 수 있으며 평상시에 전혀 불가능했던 인상적인 그림을 자세히 관람할 수 있다. 건물 안으로 들어서면 천장을 받치고 있는 네 개의 남성상 기둥이 있어 현관홀의 크기를 짐작할 수 있게 한다. 궁전은 신 빈중앙역에 가까우며 빈 시내로의 전망이 좋은 멋진 정원이 있다. 아니면 가장 큰 도서관 중 하나가 있는 멜크 수도원의 투어에 참여할 수 있다.

박물관 외에도 오스트리아의 다른 도시나 마을의 가상 투어에 참여할 수 있고, 산과 동굴 또는 소금 광산을 방문할 수도 있다. 이를 위해서는 VR 안경을 쓰거나 VR 홀더와 함께 휴대폰을 사용하는 것이 좋으며, 특히 최신형 휴대폰이라면 3D로 시청하는 것도 더욱 인상적일 것이다. 당신이 살펴보는 모든 것은 매우 세밀하고 자연적이며, 더욱 정밀하게 확대하거나 VR로 안내된 투어를 선택해 방문지에 대한 전문적인 설명도 들을 수 있다.

이 새로운 기술로 전 세계를 여행하고 역사와 문화에 대한 지식을 넓히는 것은 매우 즐거운 일이다. 다른 인상적인 경험으로 ‘무지크페라인’과 같은 오리지널 공연장에서 공연되는 온라인 콘서트, ‘짤츠부르크 페스티벌’ 또는 올해 리골레토(주세페 베르디의 3막 오페라)가 올라가는 ‘브레겐츠 페스티벌’이 있는데 한국의 메가박스 영화관에서도 함께할 수 있다.

How to visit Austria during the time of Corona Virus?

Many organizations in Austria have created a Virtual Reality (VR) Setup to visit beautiful places all around Austria, like Museums, Galleries, Palaces and many other. Many of the organizers have created a wonderful environment for visiting the key places from at home, by a PC connected to a TV screen or 3D by VR gear or glasses
for great experience. Now you can visit exhibitions in palaces watch beautiful painting in beautiful rooms. When you are watching the 360-degree VR then you find it very impressive, high quality of pictures and you can move around in the same way as have been present there. It suggests a great feeling!

Take for instance the castle of Schönbrunn, the summer residence of the former Austrian Emperor, one of the largest castles in Austria with impressive architectures, walking thru the many rooms have a look at the terrific chandelier from Bakalowitz one of the oldest Glass manufacturer in Austria, then look at the 400 years old clock from France a present of King Louis XIV (Louis Dieudonné; 5 September 1638 – 1 September 1715), wallpaper from China, an mirror from Italy or another chandelier from the famous glass manufacturer in Venezia Italy. The palace located closed the new Vienna Central Railway Station with a great garden where you have good view over Vienna. Or you join a tour in the large Monastery of Melk, with one of the largest libraries.

When museums are not so yours, then you can join for a virtual tour via different cities in Austria or villages, as well as visiting virtually our mountain or cave or even the Salt mine. For this we recommend using VR glasses or use of your mobile phone with VR holder, then you can watch in 3D, which is more impressive, especially when you have a modern phone.
