크시옹시성은 폴란드에서 세 번째로 큰 성으로 10개의 테라스가 감싸고 있다. 처음에는 요새로 활용되었지만 세월이 흘러 귀족들의 레지던스로 변모했다. 유럽에서 가장 강력한 가문 중 하나인 폰 허치버그 가문을 수호했던 흔적이 남아 성문은 여전히 왕실 사자들이 지키고 있고, 넓은 정원은 신들의 조각상으로 둘러싸여 있다. 건물의 정면은 전설이 실제가 아니었을까 하는 착각을 불러일으킨다. 만약 숨이 멎을 정도로 아름다운 장면을 보고 싶다면 크시옹시에서 찾아볼 수 있을 것이다.

크시옹시성은 가까운 사람들과 시간을 보내기에 아주 좋은 장소이다. 성에는 투어가 있으며, 특별히 어린이 방문객에는 “마법에 걸린 크시옹시” 루트를 추천한다. 근처에서 크시옹시 말들을 감상하고 낭만적인 옛 크시옹시 폐허를 거닌 후에는 분위기 좋은 이국적인 카페가 있는 야자수 식물관을 방문할 수도 있다. 그 외에도 다양한 이벤트들이 있는데, 특히 가족들을 위한 이벤트가 많다.

크시옹시는 훌쩍 떠나 휴식을 즐기기에 특별히 좋은 장소다. 낮에는 숲 사이로 난 여러 갈래의 오솔길을 걷거나 자전거 도로를 누비고, 밤에는 용기를 내어 전설 속 유령과 초자연적인 현상들 속에서 펼쳐지는 한밤 중 성 투어에도 참여할 수 있다.

Książ Castle in Wałbrzych

Picture a castle from the Lord of the Rings saga, like a magnificent vessel cruising on an ocean of forest of the Landscape Park of Książ. This enormous complex situated on a stony headland at the height of 395 m above sea level is believed to be a real rarity across Europe and the “Pearl of the Lower Silesia”. The Książ Castle is the third biggest castle in Poland, it needs to be added that there are 10 blooming terraces surrounding the castle. Initially it had been a fortified fortress, but over the years the castle was transformed into an aristocratic residence and still bears the marks from when it was governed by one of the most powerful families in Europe, the von Hochbergs. The castle gates are still guarded by the royal lions, the wide courtyard remains surrounded by statues of the gods and the building’s facade invokes thoughts of legends far more than reality. The castle’s daytime tours offer something for everyone; we recommend that our youngest visitors enjoy the specially designated “Enchanted Książ” route. Many events are also organized here, especially for families. Książ is a unique venue for a restful escape.
