[아츠앤컬쳐] 파리는 수세기 전부터 세계에서 가장 많은 찬사를 받으며 방문하는 도시 중 하나다. 파리는 처음에는 국제 출판의 중심지로, 이후에는 유럽 지성이 모여들어, 1900년대 대부분의 예술 운동이 태어나고 발전했으며 국제 예술가들이 서로 만나 생활하고 전시하는 도시가 되었다. 오늘날에 가까워지면서 파리는 수많은 이유로 최고의 관광 명소 중 하나가 되었다. 이곳에서 탄생한 고딕 건축, 세계에서 가장 큰 루브르박물관, 타의 추종을 불허하는 명품을 창조하는 탁월한 패션 산업과 프랑스 요리는 이 놀랍고 독특한 도시에서 시간을 보내는 모든 방문객을 즐겁게 할 것이다.

오늘은 당신이 다음 번 파리를 방문할 때 보다 ‘친밀하게’ 동행하고 싶다. 1800년대 말과 1900년대 초반에 모든 예술가들을 매료시킨 파리의 하늘, 빠르게 움직이는 구름, 빛의 효과와 색상의 끊임없는 생생한 변화부터 시작해 보자. 인상파 운동의 귀중한 영감의 원천을 단지 벤치에 앉아서 잠시 올려다보는 것만으로도 경험해 볼 수 있다. 파리의 하늘이 만들어내는 끊임없는 활기에 자신을 맡기면, 날씨와 계절에 따라 사방이 휙휙 바뀐다. 곧 파리가 같은 장면을 두 번 보여주지 않는다는 것을 깨닫게 될 것이다. 이 ‘지속적인 움직임’은 저녁과 밤까지 이어진다. ‘Ville lumière’(빛의 도시)라는 이름에 걸맞게 이곳은 매우 밝고 강렬한 빛으로 가득 차 있다.

계속하여 뤽상부르 공원을 산책해 보자. 특히 주말에 파리지앵들은 햇빛을 쬐고, 계절에 맞는 꽃 전시회를 방문할 것이다. 마리아 데 메디치가 이곳에 새 거주지인 뤽상부르 궁전을 지었을 때 디자인한 대로 많은 사람들이 이 정원을 파리에서 가장 아름다운 정원이라 말한다.

파리지앵의 마음으로 파리를 계속 느끼고 싶다면 파리 최초의 철교로 여전히 보행자 전용으로 사용되고 있는 퐁데자르를 걸어보자. 이 다리를 건너 에릭 사티, 앙리 뒤파르크 또는 드뷔시의 ‘세 개의 샹송’을 들으면서 주변 지역, 특히 카르티에 생제르맹데프레, 좁은 길들, 아트갤러리 및 특색 있는 상가를 걸어보자. 그렇게 함으로써 그의 아르누보, 아르데코, 그리고 깊이 있는 지적이고 낭만적인 접근으로 이 도시의 위대한 지난날과 현대를 잘 혼합할 수 있을 것이다.

파리에서 잊을 수 없는 ‘특별한 순간’을 경험하고 싶다면 해가 뜨는 콩코드광장에서 새로운 날의 놀라운 탄생을 맞이하자. 아직 텅 비어 있는 도시, 이 거대한 광장은 아침 첫 햇살을 받는 지역 중 하나다. 루브르박물관과 에펠탑을 바라보거나 그 맞은편 개선문을 바라보자. 당신 앞에 모든 것이 있을 것이다.

그리고 제가 여러분과 공유하고 싶은 마지막 제안은 모딜리아니, 모네, 마네, 르누아르, 피카소, 브라크, 피사로 및 기타 모든 거장 예술가들이 함께 만나 시간을 보내던 몽파르나스 지역의 스튜디오와 카페, '라 쿠폴' 또는 '라 클로즈리 데 릴라’ 등에서 시간을 보내라는 것이다. 이곳에서는 냅킨이나 테이블보에 자주 사용되는 아티스트 스케치 중 일부를 여전히 볼 수 있다.

Since centuries ago, one of the most acclaimed and visited city in the World. Born almost 8000 years ago', Paris passed through the entire Roman Empire time under the name of Lutetia, and became the biggest city in Europe in the Middle age. Through the last 6 centuries Paris became first the center for international publishing, then it developed through becoming the European intellectual place to be and then the city where most of the 1900 Art movements born and developed and international artists were meeting each other, living and exhibit. All of this, considering also, the crucial important political role that Paris had through the 100 years war with Britain, the French revolution that influenced the entire Europe, the Napoleon era, and the German occupation in WWII.

Coming closer to our days, Paris has remained one of the leading touristic places to go, for so many reasons, The Gothic Architecture that born here, the biggest museum in the World, the Louvre, The fashion industry with the unsurpassed capacity to create Luxury and exclusivity. The well renown French cuisine, that is always capable to astonish you with all its form of expression. The list is really so long of what will surprise any kind of visitor spending their time in this amazing and unique city.

All the above explain it so clearly, why Paris has the general international reputation it deserved to have, but, here today, I will like to accompany you to a more 'intimate' experience you can have when you will visit Paris next:

Let's start with what fascinate all the artists at the end of the 1800 and in the first part of the 1900, the sky of Paris, the fast moving clouds, that create a constant animated change of lights effects and colors. A priceless source of inspiration, that is so well represented by the entire Impressionist Movement, that you can experience yourself by just sitting on a bench and look up for some time. Just get transported by the constant animation the Parisian sky can generate, changing entire portion of your surrounding quickly from Blanch and white range of grey tones to a bright colorful palet of yellows, blues, greens, according to the weather and season.

You soon will realize, that Paris never shows you the same scene twice, and it change fast, sometime so fast. This 'constant motion', extend into the evening and night, because the well deserve name of 'Ville lumière' (City of lights), it's so bright and full of intense lights, that makes the clouds above always clearly visible and always in constant motion.

Let's continue with a walk in the Jardin du Luxembourg, where especially in the week end, the Parisian love to go, to grab some sunshine and if the season is right where they will be visiting some flower exhibition. By many, this is defined as the most beautiful garden in Paris, design and wanted by Maria de Medici, when she created there, her new residence, the Luxembourg Palace.

If you like to continue this trip into the Paris and Parisian Heart, walk on the 'Pont des Arts',(Bridge of the Arts), the first Iron bridge in Paris, built and still in use only for pedestrian, walk across this bridge and the surrounding areas, especially through the 'quartier Saint-Germain-des-Pres, small streets, Art galleries, and characteristic shops, listening to some 'French classical 'chanson' (songs), by Erik Satie, Henri Duparc, or Claude Debussy 3 chanson.

In doing this, you will be able to blend well the today's days with the great past of this city with his Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and the deep intellectual and romantic approach French are always apply to everything in life.

If you like to experience 'a special moment' in Paris, the unforgettable one, I suggest you to be at Place de la Concorde at the sun rise and look all around you to the amazing birth of a new day. The city is still empty, but starting up, this huge square is one of the first area of town to get lighted up by the first sunbeams, you will experience here the real dimension of the boulevards, the prospective that is opening up all around you, looking to the Eiffel tower as to the Louvre or opposite to it, to the Arc de Trionphe..You will have it all in front of you...

And my last suggestion I will like to share with you, is to spend sometime in the area where Modigliani, Monet, Manet, Renoir, Picasso, Braque, Pisarro and all the other master artists where meeting together and spend their time with each other, in their studios and caffes, in Montparnasse area, at the 'La Coupole' Caffe, or at the 'La Closerie des Lilas Caffe where you will be able to still see some of these artists sketches, done on napkins or table cloth, often used by them to be able to pay their bills, because been together in a caffe was not only the best place for sharing and discussing about their creations, frustrations, successes and failures but was, especially in the Parisian cold winter, the best way to keep themself warm during the long evenings.
