[아츠앤컬쳐] 모슈나 성(또는 궁전)은 상부 실롱스크의 사적지에 위치하며 현재 그 지역에서 가장 잘 알려진 기념물 중 하나다. 외부의 웅장함과 주변의 아름다운 공원으로 모든 방문객에게 매력을 선사하고 있다. 대부분 장식용인 99개의 탑과 안과 밖 모두 완벽한 대칭으로 이루어진 건축, 그리고 가능한 모든 곳에서 절충적인 스타일을 유지하는 등 여러 특징들이 궁전을 더욱 독특하게 만든다.

성의 이름은 중세시대에 지어진 작은 마을 모슈나에서 유래한다. 궁전은 많은 탄광과 제철소를 소유한 독일 귀족인 틸레빙클러 가문에 의해 지어졌다. 그 마을에서 그들의 이야기는 현재 성의 중간 부분과 유사한 작은 궁전을 구입했던 1866년에 시작된다. 처음에, 빙클러 가족은 궁전을 주로 여름 별장으로 사용했으며, 그곳은 고된 일과 일상의 책무 후에 휴식하기 좋은 장소였다. 또한, 주변의 숲이나 전반적으로 풍부한 동식물로 인해 평소에 사냥하기에도 완벽했다.

세월이 흐르면서 모슈나 궁전의 중요성이 커지기 시작하여 보수를 거쳐 정원의 아름다움이 배가되었다. 30년 뒤인 1896년에 대형 화재로 궁전이 거의 파괴됨에 따라 이는 단순한 성의 재건이 아니라 이 지역에 가장 훌륭하고 장엄한 궁전을 건설할 이유가 되었다. 불과 몇 년 만에, 세심하게 주의를 기울이며 이 궁전이 지어졌고 그 즉시 귀족들 사이에서 유명해졌다. 심지어 독일 황제 빌헬름 2세조차 이 성을 여러 번 방문했다.

모슈나 궁전은 틸레 빙클러 가문에게 새로운 보금자리가 되어야 했지만, 제2차 세계대전은 빙클러 가문과 성 모두에게 재앙으로 다가왔다. 1945년, 소련 군대가 쳐들어와 조금이라도 가치가 있는 것들은 모두 파괴하고 훔쳐갔다. 빙클러 가족은 다행히 군대가 도착하기 전에 떠나 살아남을 수 있었지만, 성은 모든것을 잃고 말았다.

성의 외부는 그나마 큰 손상이 없었지만 내부에는 단단한 구조물만이 남았다. 오늘날까지 이 성은 여전히 원래의 부조, 기둥, 고풍스러운 베네치아 정문, 심지어 사무실과 예배당에 있는 스테인드글라스가 보존되어 있다. 기존의 문, 창틀, 마루의 대부분도 그대로지만 회화 등 모든 다른 예술품은 도난 당하고, 책과 기록들은 소실되고 말았다.

오늘날, 모슈나 성은 세계 각국의 관광객들을 위해 개방, 개조되었다. 호텔 내부에는 객실과 호화로운 방이 마련되어 있어 모두가 고귀한 대접을 받고 온천에서 휴식을 취하며 자연을 가까이에서 누릴 수 있다.

매년 모슈나 성에서는 클래식 콘서트나 연극 공연과 같은 문화 행사에서부터 대중문화 혹은 테마축제와 같은 가족 중심적인 행사들에 이르기까지 많은 행사가 열리고 있다. 또한, 레스토랑과 카페에서는 날마다 최고의 폴란드 · 실롱스크 음식도 제공하고 있다. 이곳에서는 모든 사람들이 그들에게 알맞은 장소를 찾을 수 있다.

Moszna Castle

Moszna Castle (also called as a Palace) lies in the historical territory of Upper Silesia, and currently is one of the best known monuments from that region. Famous for its magnificent looks outside and beautiful park around, castle put a charm on every visitor that comes here. Several features make the palace unique: 99 towers which are mostly decorative, construction built with aㅜperfect symmetrical balance both inside and outside, and keepingㅜits eclectic style everywhere it was possible.

Name of the castle comes from the village it was built on - Moszna, a small settlement founded back in the medieval times. The palace was built by Tiele-Winckler family - german nobles, owners of many coal mines and ironworks. Their history in that village starts at 1866, when they bought a small palace which looked almost identical ascurrent middle part of the castle. At first, the family used it mostly as a summer residence, a place where they could take a rest and relax after hard work and daily responsibilities. Thanks to the surrounding forests and overall rich fauna and flora, it was also a perfect place for hunting on a daily basis. When the years went by,

Palace in Moszna started to grow in importance: renovations were made, and garden's aesthetics got improved. Thirty years later, in 1896, great fire almost completely destroyed it, which became the reason to not only rebuild it - but to construct the best and most magnificent castle this region ever had. In just a few years, with attention to every detail, this palace was built and instantly became famous among nobles; even German Emperor Wilhelm II visited the castle several times.

Meant to be the new home for many generations of Tiele-Wincklers, Second World War turned out to be disastrous for both family and the castle. In 1945 Soviet Army came, destroying and stealing almost everything that had any value. Family luckily survived by running before the army arrived, but the castle has lost everything it had.

Outside there was no major damage, but inside only solid components of the original structure preserved. To this day, the castle still has original reliefs, columns, antique venetian portals and even stained glass in the office and the chapel. Most of the original doors, window frames and parquets also preserved, but all of the paintings and other works of arts were taken, books and archives were burned.

Today, Moszna Castle is opened and adapted to welcome tourists from around the World. Hotel inside offers its rooms and royal apartments, letting everyone to feel like noble, relax at spa and live close to nature. Every year, the castle hosts many events: from cultural ones like classical music concerts and theater performances – to more family-oriented like events from pop culture and thematical parties. Restaurant and cafeteria, opened daily, serves the best of Polish and Silesian cuisine. Everyone will find their place here.
